Hướng dẫn cách JAF điện thoại cho người mới dùng

Khái niệm Mod hđh và Cook ROM:

Mod (hay chỉnh sửa) hệ điều hành là can thiệp vào các tập tin/ thư mục hệ thống để chỉnh sửa nó, làm nó khác đi (tốt hơn) so với hệ điều hành gốc mà Nokia đã thiết lập.

Có nhiều cách Mod hệ điều hành như chỉnh sửa các file text (thực chất là file cấu hình) trong C:\Z:\private\10202be9, Patch với Rompatcher, Thêm file thực thi vào sys\bin, chỉnh sửa trực tiếp vào ROM rồi Flash,v..v.. và rất nhiều cách khác

Cook ROM (hay Mod ROM, chế ROM, Cook Firmware,v..v..) là Mod/can thiệp trực tiếp vào file Firmware để khi Flash (nôm na là chạy hệ điều hành) máy, chúng ta có một hđh đã được Mod theo ý thích, ko phải làm thủ công lại mỗi khi Flash/Hard Reset máy.

Hướng dẫn cơ bản cook FW cho Newbies by Aqua Sta @ VN-zoom

Các công cụ chính để thực hiện:
Nokia Editor: đây là công cụ dùng để chỉnh sửa ROM/ROFS (Nó giúp giải nén, sửa, thêm/bớt và đóng gói lại)
Navifirm: Dùng để download các file FW
Nokia_PC_Suite: Công cụ để load các driver điện thoại
JAF: Công cụ để Flash FW
Download JAF 1.98.64 + pkey full
Download JAF 1.98.62 (Support Win7)

Xác đinh công việc:

1. Đầu tiên để Cook ROM thì bạn cần có các file FW
2. Bạn dùng Navifirm down các file của FW ứng với máy bạn và đặt tại một thư mục nào đó
3. Giải nén file Nokia Editor. Mở chương trình Nokia Editor, chọn Open và dẫn tới nơi lưu các file FW. Mở file rofs2 hoặc uda.
4. Sau đó chọn Extract để tiến hành giải nén ROM
4.1. Với ROM dạng rofs2/rofs3 thì nội dung của nó sẽ được giải nén toàn bộ vào thư mục rofs2
4.2. Với ROM dạng uda thì nội dung của nó sẽ được giải nén toàn bộ vào thư mục fat16 (tạo ra file .img trong thư mục fat16)
5. Chỉnh sửa các file của bạn (Có thể đóng NokEditor lại lần sau mở lên rồi repack cũng được)
5.1. Với ROM dạng rofs2 thì bạn chỉnh sửa các nội dung trong thư mục rofs2
5.2. Với ROM dạng uda thì bạn dùng chương trình Magic ISO Maker hoặc winimage để sửa file ảnh trong thư mục fat16
6. Sau khi đã chỉnh sửa nội dung xong thì chọn Repack ở chương trình Nokia Editor
7. ROM được Repack (đóng gói) xong sẽ
7.1. Có tên REB-RM************.rofs2.*** ở thư mục Nokia Editor với ROM dạng rofs2
7.2. REB-RM***********.uda.*** với ROM dạng uda
8. Sửa tên (xóa "REB-") ở file ROM sau khi Repack
9. Copy file ROM sau khi hoàn thành cùng với các file FW đến đường dẫn C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-xxx để Flash. Với RM-xxx ứng với điện thoại của bạn

Hi!  

Flashing tutorial is necessary for such noobs. Just follow the steps exactly to get a CFW running on your phone

NEEDED SOFTWARES:

1. Download Navifirm: Navifirm
2. Download J.A.F

3. Download PKEY:
Download JAF 1.98.64 + pkey full
Download JAF 1.98.62 (Support Win7)

STEPS:

1. Download your f/w files from Navifirm

2. Place all files in C:\Program Files\Nokia\phoenix\products\RM-XXX\
    (RM-XXX means your RM. It may be RM-356, RM-428 etc. If your RM is RM-356; Then make the folder as 'RM-356')
3. Download and Install PKEY Emulator and J.A.F
4. Download the CFW
5. A CFW usually contain 3 or 2 files (Rofs2 + Rofs3 + UDA)
6. If the filenames do not match then rename the names of the CFW files to your original f/w files
7. backup your firmware files
8. Then replace your original files with the CFW files in "C:\Program Files\Nokia\phoenix\products\RM-XXX\"
9. Run PKEY Emulator

10. Click OK on the dialog that appears, then When J.A.F will start
11. Go to 'bb5'tab
12. Make it look exactly like the picture below
  (Tick - Manual Flash, Dead USB, Normal mode) (Untick - 'CRT 308')

13. Make sure the scene is exactly the same (Check nicely)
14. Tick 'USE INI'
15. Then a list will appear containing all phone models like the picture below

16. Select your phone and appropriate RM from the list
17. Turn OFF your phone and connect it to the computer via USB
18. Click on flash
19. Then Click OK when a dialog appears like on the picture below

20. Then press "Power Button" for 1 second and release
21. Flashing Procedure will start...

OR

If your phone is not listed in the List of Phone Models shown by J.A.F then do this step to select firmware files:
Instead of Step2 you can do this:
just rename .core.C00 to .c0r first and then untick "use ini" option and then manually  select the files
1. MCU = .c00/.c0r
2. PPM = rofs2
3. CNT = rof3
4. APE = uda

IF YOUR PHONE GETS BRICKED ANYWAY, THEN FLASH YOUR PHONE AGAIN WITH ALL YOUR ORIGINAL FIRMWARE FILES
